When we first met, Matt and Taylor were both attending Penn State. When we think back to our college days, football, parties, THON, and sometimes school comes to mind. We both were chosen as Captains for THON. At one of our weekly meetings as Captains, we were filling out a document with our birthdays and realized we were born on the same day, month, and year! Not long after that, we began dating.
Road Trip, Y’all
When Matt received a job offer in Texas, we decided to put our relationship through the ultimate test of tornado warnings, golf-ball sized hail, and 105 degree summers!
Welcome to the family, Carson!
Two years later, Taylor wanted a dog. Literally every other sentence included the word dog. One trip down to Delaware for a stop at Costco turned into a quick stop by the pet store to see if there were any puppies to play with. Fast forward two days and we adopted our wonderful little boy who we (Matt) named Carson after 2020s future Super Bowl MVP. He is still as annoying (and cute) as ever (takes after his father)…
Jenny Lake, Grand Teton National Park
Almost exactly one year ago, along with our amazing families, we boarded a plane on a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Little did Taylor know that Matt had secretly purchased a ring, from a really nice guy, and she had no idea what she signed herself up for. Our trip began with American Airlines losing her luggage as soon as we landed in Bozeman. Fast forward a few days and we were standing at the top of Jenny Lake overlook in Grand Teton National Park and Matt was down on one knee making a promise to be there for her for the rest of his life.
